Community, summits & story

Beyond one-to-one research, there's a community.

I founded spanDNA Families, the diaspora-genealogy initiative of the Edward A. Ulzen Memorial Foundation (EAUMF) — reconnecting families with African ancestry across Ghana and the American South through DNA, genealogy, and storytelling. I convene the annual TransAtlantic Genealogy Summit, and my research contributed to the Elmina-Java Museum in Ghana.
