My genealogical journey began at seventeen with an exploration of my Dutch ancestry and less-documented Ghanaian roots. DNA testing later opened additional paths for documenting and exploring my Ghanaian and broader African ancestry. That journey continues to affirm a principle at the heart of my work: our histories are interconnected, and we are members of one human family.
Everyone is welcome here. I work with individuals, families, groups, communities, and institutions from many backgrounds, while bringing particular experience to families of African descent and to West African-descended and dispersed African family histories, where records have often been harder to trace.
